She was also a lead practitioner at Pharmaca, an integrative pharmacy in the San Francisco bay area.

What lead Jessica to become an acupuncturist?
Jessica grew up in a household where the use of natural healing modalities was a way of life. Her mother was a massage therapist. Her father was an energy healer, medical intuitive and taught meditation workshops since she was a child. Jessica was also raised by her Italian grandmother who would give her a shot of whiskey with crushed garlic (natural antibiotic) if she was ever sick and always used food as medicine.

After a car accident in ’98, Jessica suffered with severe neck pain. At the same time she was studying medical qigong and met her first acupuncturist that suggested she try it for the pain. Shortly after 3 sessions her neck pain improved and she was relieved of symptoms. She continued acupuncture treatments for several years because of her improved health. After a sprained ankle, her acupuncturist stimulated points in her wrist, applied a liniment and the next morning the swelling and pain had disappeared. She went for treatment with a high fever and it was reduced by the end of her session. In addition during an appendicitis attack while in graduate school she sought acupuncture for treatment and after several hours with applied castor oil packs and points stimulated on her leg, the initial symptoms gone once more. It was the ebb and flow in Jessica’s life that lead her to realize that pursuing this form of medicine as her life’s passion was only natural.

Jessica believes that good health is not just the physical body, but stems from your whole state of being, (spiritually, emotionally, environmental and your outlook on life). Oriental Medicine treats the whole individual. Jessica’s main focus is to empower her patients to integrate all aspects of their human experience, learn how to create healthy lifestyle for themselves, their loved ones and manifest true balance in their lives.

* Geriatric Massage
* Reiki

Theresa, “Tree”, has been a Massage Practitioner for the past 34 years. Certified long before massage was recognized in mainstream healthcare, she realized the therapeutic value of massage when a young mother. She would gently stroke her infant children to soothe their cries and when they were older, a good back rub always calmed them down (Dad too). Tree earned her National Certification from the NCBTMB in 2003 and is now state licensed. Well recognized in the community as a skilled therapist, her techniques incorporate Swedish Massage and Deep Tissue manipulations.
Swedish Massage administers long gliding strokes that reduce tension in the entire body, and pumps the lymphatic system promoting a healthy immune system. Deep Tissue manipulations reduce adhesions in layers of muscle and connective tissue and so promotes circulation and movement.
Wife and mother of four adult children, Tree began her career in office administration but left the paperwork behind in order to practice alternative therapies and creative avenues, full time. Downtime is often spent doing creative writing and/or painting with oils and acrylics.
